Whoever is picking Garland is largely taking a bet on pure potential, as we saw very little from him in limited time at Vandy this past season (5 games). In those games, scouts saw an intriguing prospect who can absolutely score, especially from deep... but also a ball handler who tries to do too much and is a little loose with the ball when trying to get his teammates involved. His ball handling is electric, so he can get to his spot on the floor pretty easily via crossovers and hesitations. When playing with his age group in AAU and international games he has shown a knack for leadership and scoring. He isn't the biggest or strongest guard, but he plays strong defense and has a nose to tip passes and create steals. He's fast, but not the most explosive leaper.
