yes Die Hard is a classic we've all seen a million times. this isn't a negative ad
consider the plot resolutions that occur rapid fire in BttF:
1. George punches Biff out, winning Lorraine's affection
2. The picture of the family is fully restored
3. Marty invents rock and roll
4. Doc fixes the cable just as Marty hits the wire
WHOOSH SCIENCE NOISES
5. Doc was wearing a vest!
6. Everything is great now! David wears a suit, Lorraine looks so thin, George is assertive, Marty's got a cool car, but...
WHOOSH SCIENCE NOISES
7. It's your kids Marty! Something has got to be done about your kids!
It's a perfectly encapsulated story and a perfect lead-in to the sequel. There's comedy, drama, enemies, friends, action, character development, iconic music, iconic effects, Huey Lewis... for what more could you ask?
