Devin Vassell SF 6'7" 194 20 Florida State
An exciting, prototypical 3 and D wing, Vassell came out of nowhere following a freshman season at FSU where he barely played. In his sophomore campaign he became the Noles leading scorer and showed that he is ready to make the jump. A phenomenal leaper, a 3pt marksman, and strong driver of the ball, Vassell should be able to score efficiently immediately. He can improve from the foul line to get even more efficient, but his 3pt shooting and smart shot-selection already have him scoring well. On defense he will rack up steals and blocks and defend on the perimeter against the best of the best wing players. He needs to add strength to his frame to really become an elite player, but it is really the only glaring hole in his resume. He rebounds fairly well, despite his strength limitation, largely because of his + wingspan and crazy hops. He averaged less than 1 TO/game last season, showing how careful he is with the ball... though that could be because he isn't a great creator for himself or others and rarely puts the ball on the floor or in danger.
