Jaden McDaniels SF 6'10" 184 20 Washington
An older freshman, McDaniels was quite the disappointment this year at U Dub. His ceiling is sky high, but as demonstrated on the court this year, his floor is not. McDaniels shows good agility, mobility, and fluidity at his size. He's a natural jump-shooter , especially in catch and shoot situations. Shoots with no wasted motion and quick release. Scores from midrange and has range out to three. However, he really struggles in the paint because of his rail-thin frame. He barely shot 40% on 2s this season in Seattle, so he needs lots of love to improve that in the future. Additionally, he was a turnover machine, averaging 3.5 per/36. He should be a solid shot-blocker from the wing, given his wing-span and good timing... but that's clearly the best part of his defensive game right now. He and his future team must be banking on his potential shining through as a later bloomer.
