Calvin Natt was inducted today, as the first and only member, of the Blackhawks legendary honor guard. Called "The Spirits of Ma-ka-tai-me-she-kia-kiak" (The Spirits of Black Hawk), this club was made to represent the best of the best in Blackhawks history. While the Blackhawks themselves were short-lived, with the most notable players for the club still playing for the franchise in it's new city, the Tri-Cities still wanted to honor the Blackhawk they feel was most responsible for bringing a championship ring to their tiny po-dunk town.
From throwing it into the stands, to shooting FT's lefty, no one could have expected the performance the Blackhawks got out of Natt in the finals after LBJ mysteriously left the team due to injury during the Bulls' conference finals win over the regularHawks. That is, except GM Killy Bing.
"We expected this all long", he said. "We knew Natt was having problems paying him bills, and also knew that we had 0 chance against yet another iteration of the most stacked team the league has ever seen. 2+2 became 4. It was a no-brainer".
While people expected the league to come down hard on the GM and franchise, it was only the franchise that suffered. The Tri-cities was given the "death penalty", suffering relegation to the minor leagues, with the Anaheim Amigos replacing them in the championship league. Because of the strong players union in 5.0, none of the players were penalized by the commissioner, with the Tri-cities players being transferred to Anaheim to begin the season anew. Most mysteriously, the GM Killy Bing was also able to retain his role as GM in the league, causing strong whisperings of "collusion" and "anti-sabotage" between KB and the commissioners office.
Killy Bing, for his part, has claimed to clean up his act "We won't be purposefully trying to kill Lebron anymore, or paying opposing players to flunk games". However, one has to wonder the purpose of Natt's continued inclusion on KB's payroll, this time as an assistant coach for the Amigos. Continuously embattled Portland GM Majic , the current official employer of Calvin Natt, was reached out to for comment but didn't respond because he was "out of cell service" even though he definitely texted timpig.
