Marvin Webster C 7'1" 244 23 Morgan State
"The Human Eraser", Webster has absolutely dominated the HBCU circuit during his time at Morgan State, where he is the reigning 3x MEAC Player of the Year. He is also the reigning Division II player of the year. He's averaged 20/20 and over 8 blocks per contest this past season. However... scouts are not sure what to expect when he consistently goes against players his own size. He was often the tallest player on the court by at least 5" during the past season. He will likely be able to block some shots, given his incredibly wingspan... but he's incredibly slow of foot and really lumbers up and down the court. A very strong rebounder, scouts don't see any reason that will change because of his strong base and good technique. He rarely turns the ball over, which is largely a product of his unwillingness to pass... once he gets it, he keeps it. The biggest concern lies in his offensive game, given his complete lack of post moves. In the past he's been able to simply establish low position and turn over a shoulder for an easy lay-in or dunk... but with real centers guarding him in TMBSL that won't be an option. His FT% dipped below 50% this past season, which is dreadful. He's on the older end of players as well, so growth may be in his past, not his future.
