Bill Walton C 6'11" 224 22 UCLA
3x Naismith Player of the Year, 2x AP Player of the Year, 3x Rupp Trophy winner, 2x NCAA Champion, 2x NCAA Tourney MOP... the list goes on and on for "Big Red", the best ginger player of all-time. A career 20/15 player in Westwood, Walton also brings a dizzying array of defensive tricks, which almost end with the ball in his possession instead of the offense. He is an extremely talented shot-blocker, with incredibly long arms and perfect timing. He also uses a variety of post-tricks to bait opposing bigs into travels or losing control of the ball so he can strip them cleanly before even getting a shot attempt up. His scoring is predicated on graceful swinging hook shots that are unblockable or nifty putbacks off of misses, where he excels as the best offensive rebounding player of his generation. His major flaw on offense is his free throw %, where he has vacillated between a variety of approaches... none successful. He will need to work on that aspect very hard to improve in the future. While he may not be the best overall offensive player, many opposing coaches have dubbed him as the best all-around big they've faced.
