Hakim Warrick PF 6'8" 219 22 Syracuse
A spring-filled, wiry big, Warrick is the type of athlete everyone wants on their team. A superior leaper and fantastic shot-blocker, he guards his position exceptionally well, despite his sleight frame. Offensively he is an explosive dunker, in transition or off lobs, but the rest of his offensive work is a work in progress. A hard-nosed defender, utilizing excellent footwork and his incredible wingspan to tussle with bigger bodies and alter their shots, Warrick should fit in pretty quickly on one end of the floor. Offensively he just has a lot to work on. He has never been asked to stretch the floor or score a ton, so it is unlikely he'll suddenly have a consistent jumper. At least he was able to improve his FT% to merely bad from the abysmal 38% he shot early in his time at da 'Cuse. Warrick does not look very good putting the ball on the floor while penetrating from the perimeter and it's uncertain whether he'll be able to create his own shots on the next level. Should be a better rebounder than he has shown, given his hops and wingspan, but he just isn't consistent boxing out.
