I was worried I was gonna miss something being busy all weekend but that does not appear to be the case What is the argument for no execution all of a sudden after trying not to do that the last couple of games as I outlined... we have so many [possible] power civs that it could be very harmful. In a more vanilla set-up with more generic townfolk I would still be aboard the 'Kill on Day 1' train. |

Just FTR a professor (from UW) scheduled a meeting with me at exactly noon EST, and I wasn't going to tell them that time interfered with my mafia game. I'll be locking the thread at noon but will have to wait until after my meeting to process death/night.

Okay I’m going with no kill if the situation as laid out above is true Going No Execution is fine strategy IF we actually play out the day and have fluid conversations. If we all jump in and vote No Execution we have no game play and thus negate any positive we gain from the vote. It’s putting all the eggs in a power civ and what happens if the mafia hits a power civ that gives us info to help. That’s GG The positive gain is that we get another day out of the game assuming nothing goes wrong. There’s very little strategy to be learned on day 1 outside of looking for the people overplaying. |

Shot in the dark with no info? i don't think a shot in the dark is a better option, there are just a lot of people laying in the weeds offering little to nothing and the more inactives that get picked off at night the more muddy the water is. |

Yeah that's been Odin's MO for pretty much every game. And is probably the main reason he's been knocked out early consistently. We should just keep reading the room. Those voting for a kill, why are you doing so? Math seems to suggest that will create an uphill challenge for the town should we execute a Civ day1. |
