Voting for one person across the board is just hilariously dumb.

if everyone votes for one person then the mafia easily disguises a vote and then one likely town member is gone...this makes no sense to me I'm with Druce. I don't see how anything is learned by everyone being instructed on who to vote for. Chaos is way better early on to see who shows some part of their hand, even if we won't know what part that is potentially for a couple of days.

I don’t know. Seemed like in the past when we did someone always showed their ass in the end by switching their vote. What are your thoughts on voting for people who don't make an appearance? If someone isn't participating at all, it seems like a 99% chance they're town as other mafia members would be PMing them and pressuring the hell out of them to do something.Unless they use that as a strategy to fool people.

It's possible, but we almost always seem to come to a place at some point in the game where an inactive individual gets voted off for just that reason.

I take it no one texted Delap to let him know the game had started. Since he usually checks the board frequently it probably didn't seem necessary. At this point @bkisok can you just text him to say "Mafia has started"? Not sure if you have Bankz' number or if soup can share it, but might be helpful to do the same for him (if Soup didn't beforehand).

So Maf will only vote out a town, unless their dumb enough to remove one of themselves. We could then assume the person flipping was maf and the person they aligned with maf as well no?

If no mafia is dumb enough to show their hand then we go to a random coin flip (or in this case I'd assume an RNG of some sort) to decide who dies, per the rules.

oh I missed that part about coin flip or rng. I thought it was an OT vote.

oh I missed that part about coin flip or rng. I thought it was an OT vote. It is OT for 15 minutes, and then it's coin flip/RNG. So if no mafia is dumb enough to show their hand in OT, then that's what it becomes.

Well then you're probably right, that plan accomplishes little.
Then I go back to my original position of voting out whoever is MIA until we have more info.

If history has shown us anything it’s that chaos favors the mafia. Chaos later on no doubt favors mafia. Early on, I don't know if I necessarily agree. Chaos day 1 gives us some idea of how everyone is behaving in this game. It establishes a voting record, people teaming up, who is trying to convince who of what, etc.

It starts witch hunts based on shit like someone not playing the game in 3 years needing a refresher on the rules and roles.

Am I crazy to like the 1 vote and then RNg idea? It led to some dramatic situations in the past.

Am I crazy to like the 1 vote and then RNg idea? I think it has pros and cons, eliminates a voting record but also eliminates mafia influence in the vote with little to no info.

Pretty sketchy to see Soup keep saying it's been 3 years since he played when we have factual evidence from the 4.0 board that he was playing a game as recently as February 2018 (2 years). Makes you wonder.

Lol looking back at old games, it seems the move on day 1 was for everyone to just vote for Billy.

I guess I dont really care about voting record as much as its a way to completely randomize the voting process and possibly give us a better chance to knock out a mafia member.
Otherwise if we go by a normal vote it runs the risk of mafia members influencing the vote.
I would say my vote would be to either do that or no vote for day 1.

You'd prefer a 3 in 12 chance of hitting a mafia member over actual evidence that could be used later?
