The people involved get messages according to the role descriptions, but no one sees anything except for deaths and role reveals in my day/night announcements.

It looks like the doctor knows if their patient was attacked. If we have a doctor that means both the doctor and person he saved can confirm themselves as townies. That starts at least a block of two trusted people.

Math: So we have 10 left. 3 mafia/7 townies. If we have a citizen declare themselves, that doesn’t help the odds THAT much. If we have both though, we are almost at 50/50 shot of hitting a mafia.
