Leader of the regular season ACC champs, Ford is the engine that made Dean Smith's offense hum. Great handles and excellent passing vision, he's the safe and secure man you want at point to facilitate for better scorers. He's an efficient scorer, but not a willing one, never being a volume man. Defensively he generates steals at a high clip, but that's about his only prowess on that side of the ball. His physical tools are limited overall, as he plays much more by feel and polish than wild physical acumen.
