A rebounding machine, Cartwright uses his plus-plus wingspan to arch over other players and tip the ball to himself for big-time offensive and defensive boards. A strong scoring desire usually has him going right back up with the ball following an offensive board. Smart enough to never shoot from range, Cartwright knows his role. While handling the ball itself isn't a hard thing for him, he almost never delivers passes with accuracy to set-up teammates... he's usually a half-second behind, which can cause all sorts of problems. Won't rack up many steals, as he prefers to take the low-risk approach and focus on rebounding position.
