Every GM is allowed to have one minor league affiliate.
This transaction will only be processed in the off-season.
GMs can send any player on a rookie draft deal to their minor league affiliate.
They will play at their listed position.
While in the minor league the player will not count towards the major league hard cap.
GMs must have sufficient hard cap room to call a player up.
Transfers will be allowed on sims 1, 4, 7, and 10.
Players drafted in the second or third round of the most recent draft can be sent down before FA day 1.
A minor league player who becomes a free agent will be treated as though they became a free agent of the major league team.
Minor league affiliates have the same team name rules as major league teams.
"Western" Conference affiliates can have any geographic location.
If a new GM joins and wants an affiliate name for their major league team name, they get it.
Request names in this thread.
This post will be kept up-to-date starting this offseason with all minor league affiliate names in use.

skrouse the new GM wants the Phoenix Suns name, so you will need to pick a new one for your affiliate and try to pick a good one because apparently every minor league affiliate you pick will immediately result in a GM joining to take it
