how often do the advanced team stats end up predicting postseason success here? like after there's a solid amount of games to go off of, assuming no major injuries, does it almost always predict the champ?

Almost never. Playoffs are way too unpredictable.

Almost never. Playoffs are way too unpredictable.

I kind of expected this, and in my experiences margin of victory or just best overall team stats rankings across the board seem to give the best estimate of the best team in most cases. But there's always weird shit that happens, never had advanced stats listed like this though so it's cool to see.

they're about as good predictors as irl overall, there are definitely more giant upsets though. last year for example they got 87% right (real life goes at 75% on average) but there was a 1-8 upset too. predicting the champ is hard in either place even if you want to get to 50%, let alone almost always

yeah I've seen a ton of 1-8 upsets in sim leagues, once GMed a team full of average rated young guys that went 41-41 i'm pretty sure. of course they won the title, but the 65+ win teams seem to always fall short lol.
