Protected picks would be fun - what would they be? Top 3, Top 10, and Lottery?
What kind of trade stipulations would we be discussing?

I'm totally on board with protected picks. Stipulations would be a bit harder to track... but sure?

I dont really want to say "oh picks can only be top 1/3/8/10/15 protected.
And as far as stipulations go i can just manually approve each one to keep the nonsense under control.

rw once stipulated in a trade of Kobe to Odin that a pick he offered is only unprotected if Kobe doesn't resign with Odin.

rw once stipulated in a trade of Kobe to Odin that a pick he offered is only unprotected if Kobe doesn't resign with Odin. so my way around that was to trade kobe to 2poor before resignings and then 2poor would trade him back if he resigned. of course 2poor would have gotten paid but less than what i would have had to give rw.

I like the sound of this
however I agree that keeping it as simple as possibly would be the best
question on it:
How would the system work if a pick ended up being protected? Lets say a pick ends up in the top 10* and is protected, what pick does that team then get?

Lets say a pick ends up in the top 10* and is protected, what pick does that team then get? depends on the protection if the protection is simply "top 10 protected" then they get nothing if it's instead "top 10 protected 06, if not conveyed top 7 protected 07, if not conveyed top 5 protected 08, if not conveyed then 09 and 10 2nd rounders" like IRL then it would depend on the succeeding years keep in mind though that in the second scenario you wouldn't be able to trade your 09 and 10 2nds to anyone else until that pick conveyed. you would still be able to trade your top 5 only 08 for example though

I am pro protected picks, but I believe stipulations should be limited.
